When the control is locked the cycles cannot be started or changed. Always clean the door area for soap build up. Run a drain and spin cycle. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating.

Reconnect power to washer plug in. It must be unlocked to operate or run a cycle. This can occur from the normal shipping movement. The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation.

Door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. Does the lock need to be cleaned. Swipe up to unlock. Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset. Was the washer just installed. Plug the appliance into a grounded 3 pronged outlet per the installation instructions.

In some circumstances your new washer may arrive with the door locked. When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed. Press this icon to lock the controls. If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.
