If you have two capos that s even better as you can keep both hands free. The top of an acoustic guitar may rise or fall to some degree depending on the climatic conditions in your part of the country. To check relief install a capo on the first fret of your strat s neck and then depress the low e string at the last fret. Insert a feeler gauge at the top of the 8th fret then consult the chart. Place a capo on the first fret then use your finger to fret the e string uppermost string closest to where the neck deepens to join the body.
